About the authors:
Tara Ison is the author of four novels, including The List, A Child out of Alcatraz, a Finalist for The Los Angeles Times Book Prize, and Rockaway. Her short story collection is Ball, and her collection of essays, Reeling Through Life: How I Learned to Live, Love, and Die at the Movies, was winner of the 2015 PEN Southwest Book Award for Creative Nonfiction. Her newest novel, At the Hour Between Dog and Wolf, is the story of a young Jewish girl in WWII France, living in hiding as a Catholic orphan. The novel explores identity and survival, and the insidious influence of anti-Semitic and Fascist ideologies.
Daniel Victor specializes in writing Jewish-themed fiction and has written three novels, two novellas and a collection of short fiction. The Evil Inclination is his first published novel. He practiced law for more than forty years, concentrating on international media transactions (including fifteen years as a senior executive for Sesame Street). He is a father and grandfather, and lives in New York City with his wife, Ester Fuchs.
Linda Kass is the author of two historical novels, Tasa’s Song and A Ritchie Boy, the 2021 IPPY Gold Medal Winner in Historical Fiction. Bessie was named A Hasty Book List Most-Anticipated Historical Fiction Title for 2023. Linda began her career as a magazine journalist and correspondent for regional and national publications.
