About the authors:

Born in the San Francisco Bay Area, Jennifer Lang lives in Tel Aviv, where she runs Israel Writers Studio. Her prize-winning essays appear in Baltimore Review, Under the Sun, Midway Journal, and elsewhere. She holds an MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts and is an Assistant Editor at Brevity Journal, plus a longtime yoga practitioner and instructor. She is giving birth to Places We Left Behind: a memoir-in-miniature (Vine Leaves Press, 2023) and Landed: A yogi's memoir in pieces & poses (Vine Leaves Press, 2024).

Janice Weizman is the author of the award-winning historical novel, The Wayward Moon (Yotzeret, 2012), which will be reissued with Toby Press this November. Her writing has appeared in World Literature Today, Ha’aretz, The Jerusalem Report, Lilith, and other places. A graduate of the Creative Writing program at Bar Ilan, she served for 10 years as a Fiction editor for The Ilanot Review, and now curates the book review website, Reading Jewish Fiction. She has taught creative writing at David Yellin College, Write Space, The Writing Pad, Israel Writers Studio, and instructs and mentor writers in private classes and workshops. Our Little Histories, (Toby Press, 2023) is her second novel.

Ruth Marks Eglash is an award-winning veteran journalist based in Israel. She currently writes for an array of media outlets such as Jewish Insider and Fox News. She spent eight years as the Jerusalem correspondent for The Washington Post, and 13 years as senior editor and beat reporter at The Jerusalem Post. In 2010, Ruth won the United Nations Alliance of Civilization Journalism Award. Born and raised in the U.K. to a British mother and an Israeli father, Ruth studied media communications at the University of Leeds and immigrated to Israel in the mid-1990s. After short stints in New York and in Milwaukee, Wis., she now lives just outside Jerusalem with her husband, three young adult children, and a Shih-Tzu named Kylie.
