About the authors:

Rachel Caplin is the author of The Spoon and the Sea, a bestselling historical fiction novel. Born and raised in Australia, she moved to Israel in 2015. She works as the Director of Brand and Communications for Israeli tech giant Aidoc, and lives in Raanana with her husband and their young daughters. Maya Arad is the author of twelve books of Hebrew fiction, as well as works of literary criticism and linguistics. Born and raised in Israel, she has lived in California for the past 23 years, where she serves as Writer in Residence at the Taube Center for Jewish Studies at Stanford University. The Hebrew Teacher, her first book to appear in English (New Vessel Press, 2024; trans. Jessica Cohen), won the National Jewish Book Award.
